Farmington man accused of trying to meet up with 15-year-old

A Farmington man is accused of traveling to a Fayette County park with the intent of a sexual encounter with a teenage girl. Gary Phares Jr., 39, had been communicating via text and Facebook with someone he thought was a 15-year-old girl for a month before Wednesday afternoon’s planned meet-up at the Wharton Township Park, according to the criminal complaint.
