Commodores upend Southmoreland, 61-58
Justin Novak led the way with a double-double as visiting Frazier rallied for a 61-58 overtime victory Friday night in Section 4-AAA action at Southmoreland.
Novak finished with a game-high 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Commodores (4-8, 6-14).
The Scotties (7-5, 12-9) led 20-5 after the first quarter and 33-24 at halftime, but Frazier closed the gap to 43-39 at the end of the quarter.
The visitors held a 14-10 advantage in the fourth quarter and then outscored Southmoreland 8-5 in overtime to secure the win.
Elijah Santoro finished with 20 points for the Commodores. Luke Santo was also in double figures with 15.
Cade Richter led the playoff-bound Scotties with 19 points. Riley Comforti scored 15 and Ronnie Robinson finished with 15.
