Ruben C. Lomax

Ruben C. Lomax, 90, of Uniontown, died Tuesday, May 26, 2026, in his home, following a courageous battle with cancer. Ruben was born in Wineburg, Cape Town, South Africa February 20, 1936, a son of the late Clifford M. and Eva Ann White Lomax.
He was educated in South Africa, attended welding school there, and spent his working career as a service engineer for O.C.E. Printing in the Washington D.C. area.
After retirement, he and his wife returned to her native Fayette County.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 44 years, Donna L. Dils; and a number of friends, neighbors and cousins.
Ruben had a wonderful sense of humor, and a quick and easy smile. He will he be dearly missed.
The middle child of three, he was predeceased by one brother; one sister; and also his brother-in-law, Bobby Dils in 2001.
Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, Friday, May 29, from 11 a.m. until the 1:30 p.m. hour of service, with Pastor Kathy Griffith officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to any local humane society.
