Lois Berneice Chambers McGee, 87, of Hopwood, passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 13, 2026, entering her eternal home with her Lord and Savior.

She was born August 4, 1938, in Uniontown, the daughter of the late Denzil H. Chambers and Mabel Ruth King Chambers.

Berneice retired from Uniontown Hospital and was a devoted member of Great Bethel Baptist Church in Uniontown, where she enjoyed attending services whenever she was able.

She especially loved spending summers in Ocean City, Md., vacationing with her family and grandchildren. Berneice enjoyed strolling the boardwalk, people- watching, and eating her favorite treats from Wockenfuss Candy Store.

She will be deeply missed by all who loved her, especially her great-grandchildren, who brought her tremendous joy.

In addition to her parents, Berneice was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Jack R. McGee, Sr.; sons, Jack R. McGee, Jr. and Thomas A. McGee; her grandson, David A. Works, Jr.; and a brother, Denzil H. Chambers II.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her children: Lois J. Fellows of Jeanette, Cindi L. Works and husband David of Hopwood, and H. Michael McGee and wife Michele of Hopwood; her grandchildren, Meghan A. McGee of Greensburg, Andrea D. Works of Hopwood, H. Michael McGee, Jr. and wife Breann of Hopwood, and James E. Fellows and wife Samantha of Jeanette; her great- grandchildren, Robert A. Fabery and Leona R. Fabery of Hopwood, Ember and Keira Dukehart of Greensburg, and Octavia and Cambrie McGee of Hopwood; her brother, Francis C. Chambers and wife Vicki of Uniontown; nieces and nephews, Denzil H. Chambers III of Uniontown and Adrienne Chambers Donnelly of Florida, Natalie Chambers Boyd and husband Brian of Grindstone, Nicole Chambers and partner Randy Nestor of Uniontown; and great-niece and nephew, Rachel Boyd and Brian Boyd, Jr.

Family and friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 21. Additional visitation will be held from 10 until the hour of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday, May 22. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
