Earl Franklin “Sonny” Johnson, 91, of Farmington, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026.
He was born June 28, 1933, in Indianhead, the son of the late Lester and Ethel Beitzel Johnson.
In addition to his parents, Sonny was preceded in death by siblings, Herald Johnson, Pauline Livengood, Helen Livengood, and Robert Johnson.
Sonny is survived by his sons, Steve Johnson (Angel) of Ardara, and Shawn Johnson (Holly) of Farmington; his grandchildren, Michael Beondy (Caitlin) of Spokane, Wash., Bailey Johnson of Farmington; and sister, Edith Wood of Crystal Lake, Ill.
He was a member of Laurel Lodge No. 651, Free and Accepted Masons.
He was the former owner and operator of Johnson Service Station in Farmington.
Sonny honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Visitation will be held in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Farmington, from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday, January 23, with Laurel Lodge No. 651 holding a ritualist service at 6 p.m. and Hopwood AMVETS Post 103 holding military honors at 7 p.m. followed by the funeral service with Pastor Steve Davis officiating. Interment will be private.
