Linda Hartman Smith, 69, of Smithfield, passed away with her loving family by her side Wednesday, January 14, 2026.
She was born December 21, 1956 in Uniontown, the daughter of Cliff and Betty Hartman.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her nephew, Jason Dewayne Hartman; and sister-in- law, Mary Hartman.
Surviving are her loving family: her husband of 50 ½ years, Larry Smith; daughter, Shilo Craggette and husband Tyree; granddaughter, whom she loved and adored, Talani Monroe Craggette; siblings, Cindy Rankin and husband Mark, J.D. Hartman, Billy Hartman and wife Andrea, and Sherri Wrona and husband Brian; very close cousin and best friend, Vicki Maust; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Linda was a very dedicated employee serving as secretary/treasurer for Georges Township, Fayette County for 47 years.
She always was good to everybody else and put others’ needs ahead of her own. She will be missed immensely.
The family will receive friends and family in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, January 17 and 18, and from 10 until the time of a funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday, January 19, with Pastor Jim Jobes officiating.
Interment will follow in the Miller-Sisler Cemetery, Georges Township.
