Efften Kovach, Jr., 85 of Uniontown, formerly of Lake Lynn, Pa passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025 in Mt. Macrina Manor, Uniontown, Pa.
He was born in Shoaf, Pa on July 10, 1940 a son of the late Efften Sr. and Millie Wonkovich Kovach Foriska.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Frances Foriska Dorizo.
Efften proudly served his country actively in the US Navy and then the reserves. He was a member of the Fairchance American Legion Post 342. He was also a carpenter and home builder.
Efften is survived by his wife, Janice Elaine Gallentine Kovach; daughter, Carol Ann Kovach; step-daughters: Jayne Heffner Cavender and her husband William, Mara Heffner Lancman and her husband Mark; granddaughter, Olivia Cavender; brothers: John Foriska, Marty Foriska and his wife Donna; sister, Lucie Foriska Dorizo and a host of nieces and nephews.
Efften’s family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 in the GOLDSBORO-FABRY FUNERAL HOME, Inc., 21 E. Church Street, Fairchance, Pa where a funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Wednesday with Father Kyprian Wojciechowski, Celebrant.
Full military Rights and Honors will be accorded by the George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood, Pa.
Private interment to follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, Pa.
