Harry Gene Stewart, 73, of Uniontown, passed away Friday, October 17, 2025.
Harry was preceded in death by his wife, Gayle; parents, Ed and Ruth Rodeheaver; biological father, Harry Stewart; and siblings: Harry, Perry, John, Debbie and Pam.
Harry is survived by his children: Gene (Jennifer), Kim (Jamie) and Becky; grandchildren: C.J. (Stephanie), Jeremy, Zack, Kyley, Tony, Jayleen, Evan, Ethan, Nick, Elijah, Matthew and Eli; great-grandchildren, Jameson and Kennedy; Harry is also survived by his siblings: Terry (Melinda), Sharon, Ed (Linda), Norma (Ray), Francis (Lisa), Mike, James, Mary, Brenda, Adela and Angie; and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Harry joined the Army at the age of 17. He worked primarily as a baker and often held two or three jobs in order to provide for his family. He loved music and his records and musical instruments were his most prized collection. He would play his guitars and harmonica for anyone and everyone. He also enjoyed driving up to the Nemacolin Casino and trying his luck at slots.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, October 20, at the Gates Funeral Home and Crematory, 136 N. Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown. A funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 21, followed by interment at Walnut Hill Cemetery; with Military Honors provided by AMVETS Post 103, Hopwood.
