Carl D. Wheeler, 68, of Masontown, died Saturday, October 11, 2025. He was born May 14, 1957, a son of the late Frank A. and Mildred Rodeheaver Wheeler.
He was the owner of Highland Photography in Masontown.
Carl was a member of Carmichaels Methodist Church serving as Sunday school and Bible study teacher as well as playing in the church’s praise band and coffee house band “Grounded” and the Christian band “Still Waters”. He was a member of the Gideons of Greene County. His faith in and love of God was the most important thing in his life.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carole Schaum Wheeler, who was his high school sweetheart.
Also surviving are his sister, Joann Wheeler Sandruck and husband Robert of Bluffton, S.C.; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Schaum Bilpuh and husband Joseph of Point Marion, Jackie Schaum, and Renalda Schaum; aunts, Jean Netchi Fiani and Virginia Netchi; nine nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services, under the direction of the BERNARD M. TOWNSEND FUNERAL HOME, will be held in Carmichaels Methodist Church, 104 West South Street, Carmichaels, with visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 17, and from 10 until a celebration of life service at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 18.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to either Carmichaels Methodist Church or to Samaritans Purse.
