Nancy Adeline Lee Herring

Nancy Adeline Lee Herring, 98, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Mount Macrina Manor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Randolph Lee and Mary Wilhelm Lee; her husband of 52 years, Rolland W. Herring; son, Richard A. Herring; sisters: Edith Loraditch, Emily Kolencik and Margaret Halavick; and brothers, George Lee and Thomas Lee.

She is the oldest of ten children, and is survived by her son, David Herring (Connie); daughter, Susan Holly; daughter-in-law, Deborah Glisan Herring; siblings: Mary Jen Mullen, Frances Russell (Dave) Sandy Double (Les) and Harry Lee (Judy); six grandchildren: Tom Samuel, Colleen Nelson, Shawn Herring, Amee Herring, Ashley Herring and Amber Thompson; 11 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Patsy Herring, Judy Vanbremen and Lucene Lee; her special grand-dogs; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Nancy and her husband operated Herring’s Garden Center for 42 years. Besides being a mother, Nancy’s claim to fame is pig racing. She loved being at the Fayette County Fair.

She was a member of Farmington Bethel Church, D.A.R. Fort Necessity Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star and Uniontown School Board.

The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff at Mount Macrina for their love and care for Nancy.

Visitation will be held in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, FARMINGTON, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday May 28. Additional visitation will be held from 10 until the hour of the funeral service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 29, with Pastor Steve Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
