Uniontown

Julianne Joseph, beloved daughter and daddy’s little angel, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025, in her home, with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Uniontown, a daughter of the Harry V. “Bo” and Rose Ann Franty Joseph.

She is survived by in addition to her parents, is her brother, Tom Joseph and wife Amy and their darling children, Matt and Mallory. Also surviving are aunts and uncles, Larry and Stephanie Franty, Joe T. Joseph, Rox Ann Joseph, Emil Greathouse, Helen Rock, Marsha Franty; special aunt, Denise and uncle Rick Ciccon; and many fun and loving cousins.

Julie loved sending and receiving cards; she couldn’t wait for the mail lady and hated Sundays with no mail. She collected calendars to mark birthdays. She loved to snack especially when dad made tortilla chips and salsa, or snacking with Melissa on Friday nights. Julie loved Amerianism Day Parade on her birthday, especially the year, she rode in the lead car with Mayor Machesky. Other favorites of hers were: Jim Nickman, Sr., Garry Sisson, Sr., Gary Brownfield, Rick Vernon, Art Gabriel, Barb George, Ruthanne Sabatine, Ceil, Donna, Mary Ann, Kathy, Regina, JoAnn, Bernie and Coleen Robaugh.

There were a lot of caregivers through the years the family wants to thank, especially Terry and Vaya, Melissa, Nancy and Kelly. Thank you girls, for giving us a life. Thank you to Laurie and FCBH, Fayette Resources and Gretchen. Thanks to the staff 1E at WVU Uniontown Hospital for providing great care. Also thanks to Uniontown Amedisys Hospice.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Cathryn and Anthony Franty, Anna and Tom Joseph; aunts and uncles: Loretta and Mike Luzaran; Lou, Babe and Ken Franty, Lib and Larry Blair, John R. and Agnes Joseph, Marie Greathouse.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Uniontown Public Library, 24 Jefferson Street, Uniontown, PA 15401; or Fayette County Community Action Food Bank, 108 N. Beason Avenue, Uniontown, PA 15401.

Julie’s family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 9, in the St. George Maronite Church, 6 Lebanon Terrace, Uniontown, PA 15401. The Wake Service will be held Sunday evening at 7 p.m.

Visitation will also be held in the church from 9:10 a.m. until the Parish Rosary, which will begin at 9:30 a.m. Monday, March 10, followed by the Funeral Liturgy at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Father Aaron J. Sandbothe as celebrant.
