Doris “Jeanie” Newell DiSanto, 76, of Uniontown, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025, in her home, with her family by her side.
Jeanie was born May 6, 1949, in Connellsville, a daughter of John and Lucy Newell Newell.
In addition to her parents, Jeanie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael DiSanto; and her brothers, Gerald Newell and Glenn Newell.
She is survived by her sons, John Glisan (wife Bernadette), and Chad Glisan; grandchildren, Trevor Glisan (wife Kariena), Zack Glisan, Olivia Glisan, and Isaiah Glisan-Gowton (husband Ty); her great- grandchildren, Michael and Hunter; her sister, Shirley Davis; her cat, Bella; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends will be received in the DeGUSIPE FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY, 65 N. Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, Stacey A. Dolfi, funeral director, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 5, and again Friday, June 6, from 10 to 11 a.m., at which time a service will be held in the funeral home, with Eric and James Glisan officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount St. Macrina Cemetery.
