Robert D. Nicklow Sr., 90, of Forward Township, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025, in Jefferson Hospital.
A 1952 graduate of Dunbar Township High School, he was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ in Monongahela and a faithful servant of his Lord. As an evangelist, he did missionary work in the United States, Canada and South America.
He was a former employee of U.S. Steel Clairton Works’ engineering department and a former member of the Clairton and Jefferson Hills auxiliary police departments. He retired as an insurance agent for American General Life Insurance Company in White Oak.
Born January 18, 1935, in Phillips, he was a son of the late Arthur and Edith Paloma Stull Nicklow.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela J. Rimel Nicklow; his daughters, Bonnie S. (Alan) Metzler of Columbus, Ohio, Robin D. (James Sr.) Burns of Troy, N.C., and Tamara A. Morle of Detroit, Mich.; sons, Robert D. (Chris) Nicklow Jr. of Monongahela, and Daniel J. (Marnie) Nicklow of Monongahela; along with 13 grandchildren and numerous great- grandchildren; sister-in- law, Leah Nicklow of Connellsville; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond, Harry, Donald, Stanton and Melvin Nicklow; sister, Geraldine E. Lenhart; first wife, Nancy Ann Nicklow; and second wife, Margaret “Alice” Nicklow.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, in the PAUL E. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 5, in the funeral home chapel, with Evangelist Robert Nicklow Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Connellsville.
