Joseph B. Martinko, Jr., 78, of Farmington, passed away on Thursday July 3, 2025 with his loving family by his side.
He was born June 16, 1947 in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of the late Joseph B. Martinko Sr. and Margaret Naughton Martinko.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife Vickie Myers Martinko; children, Carissa Lightsey (John) of Hopwood and Rodney Myers of Farmington; grandchildren, Whitnie Lightsey (Walt) and Jonathan Joseph Lightsey; great-grandchildren, Kennedy Lightsey and Karter Hall; sister-in-law Sandra Conaway; brothers-in-law Keith and wife Eva and Eric and wife Roberta; many nieces and nephews; and his three fur babies Myley, Emmylou, and Penny.
He was a member of St. Joan of Arc R.C. Church, Farmington. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus, Fort Necessity Lions Club, and a life member of Wharton Hunting and Fishing Club.
He was an avid wildlife enthusiast.
Joseph worked for Dennis Lumber and Marcon Building Supply for 57 years.
Visitation will be held in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, FARMINGTON on Monday July 7 from 2 to 8 p.m. Additional visitation will be held on Tuesday July 8 from 9 a.m. until the hour of the Blessing Service at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow in Mt. Macrina Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Animal Friends of Barbour County 320 Valley Bend Rd, Belington, WV 26250 in Joseph’s honor.
