Doris June Friend, 93, of Markleysburg, went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, December 19, 2025, in her residence, surrounded by her family.
Born May 18, 1932, in Monesson, she was the daughter of the late Demarit Emerson and Anna Elizabeth Wisecup Bird.
She was the loving wife of the late Huston Friend, Jr. and also preceded in death by one son, Ronald Friend; one daughter, Sharon Williams; six brothers and one sister.
She worked for Parker Hannifin in Cleveland, Ohio, until retiring and becoming a homemaker.
She is survived by daughter, Carolyn Thomas; daughter-in-law, Kimberly, wife of the late Ronald Friend; six grandchildren, Ryan (Amber) Friend, Carrie (Brandon) Turner, John (Crystal) Pease, Allan (Kathren) Pease, Julie (Brian) Wilson, and Jeff Andrade; six great- grandchildren, Christopher (Shelby) Pease, John E. (Shi-ann) Pease, Levi A. Pease, Layla Pease, Logan Andrade, and Lilly Andrade; three great-great-grandchildren, Easton J.M. Pease, Penelope G. Pease, and Adrean Pease; and close friends, Bobby Lancaster and Maria Piper.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the WVU Hospice Care team for the care and support they gave during this difficult time.
At her request, she will be cremated and no services are planned.
