Lelia B. Boyer

Lelia B. Boyer went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, December 10, 2025, passing away peacefully at Uniontown Nursing and Rehabilitation at the age of 87.
She was born February 23, 1938, in Smithfield, the daughter of the late Nelson Armel and Famie Yeager Armel.
In addition to her parents, Lelia was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, George L. Boyer Sr.; along with five brothers, Wade, Bob, Clifford, Jim and David; one sister, Betty; five of her children, William Zinn, Debbie Zinn and stepchildren George Boyer Jr., Charles Boyer and Benjamin Boyer Sr.
Lelia was a loving, caring mother who loved her Lord foremost and dearly loved all her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family very much.
She had worked at Lone Star Restaurant for many years and enjoyed baking home-made bread, pies and pastries. She also enjoyed gardening and canning, puzzles, fellowship with family and friends, and going to church every Sunday.
Surviving are her eight children, Bonita Boyer, Alan Boyer Sr. and wife Jamie, Miles Norman Zinn and wife Corrine, Audrey McGregor and husband Shawn, April Boyer, Aubrey Boyer and wife Lisa, Adam Boyer and Brian Boyer; along with her brothers and sisters, Dale Armel and wife Pat, Glen Armel, Brenda Thompson and husband Ron, and Fayme Balaban; along with many nieces and nephews and other relatives, whom she was very close with.
She belonged to United Christian Temple for more than 50 years and received an Attendance Plaque of 36 years for Faithful Attendance Service.
Lelia will be cremated at SHELL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 164 S. Mt. Vernon Avenue, Uniontown. Her ashes will then be laid to rest beside her late husband at Shady Grove Cemetery, Brandonville, W.Va.
