William E. Cornell, 85, of Ohiopyle, passed away peacefully, in his home, Saturday, December 13, 2025, with his loving family by his side.

He was born July 5, 1940, in Smithton, the son of the late Walter and Iva Uphouse Cornell.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his grandson, Joseph Kennedy; and siblings, Evan Cornell, Larry Cornell, Birdie Prpich, and Vivian Falbo.

William is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary Ann Cornell; children, Lynda Nixon (Jim) of Addison, William E. Cornell Jr. (Jenn) of Greensburg, and Lisa Federer (Scott) of Powhatan Pointe, Ohio; his grandchildren, Felicia, J.J., Kira, Emily, Natalie, Vanassa, and Alexa; two great- grandchildren, Dominic and Cameron; and siblings, Melvin Cornell of Indiana, Ron Cornell (Bonnie) of Mt. Joy, and Paul Cornell (Laura) of Ohio.

William was the proud owner of BP Oil Service Station in Washington. In his free time, he enjoyed boating, walleye fishing and camping on Lake Erie.

He had a love for singing and playing guitar singing gospel in nursing homes, churches and lounges; he sounded like Elvis when he sang. He was also a big animal lover and had a compassion for his dogs.

Arrangements are under the direction of the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Farmington. All services to be held privately with the family. A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced.
