Donald Russell Hall

Donald Russell Hall, 81, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 19, 2025.
Donald was a football coach in the late ’70s for LH Kennedy Rams, working night shifts as a coal miner to be able to coach. He retired as a bus driver for Albert Gallatin, where he worked for over three decades.
He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, especially the Steelers. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing, the latter being where he earned the nickname “Ducky” when an unfortunate duck met a golf ball.
He loved his wife, great-grandchildren, grandchildren, and two daughters fiercely and would move the world for them if he could. “Doodger” loved spending time with his extended Ohio family.
Donald was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Shirley Mae Hall; sister, Candy Lehman; two great-grandchildren, Kolton and Barette.
He is survived by his sister, Penny (John) Hammond; daughters, Michelle and Leslie Hall; grandchildren, Bethany (Nate) Hickman, Krysten (Chad) Glover, Emily (Brett) Guthrie, Donald Hall-Ayres, and Patrick McCabe; and his great- grandchildren, Garrison, Braxton, Kymber, Lilliana, Kasey, Sawyer, Brooklynn and Kennedy.
Friends and family are welcome to the viewing from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 22, and from 9 until the hour of service at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 23, in JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, Masontown.
