Donald G. Savage, 87, of McClellandtown, passed away unexpectedly Monday, August 11, 2025, in the Uniontown Hospital.
He was born September 23, 1937, in Uniontown, a son of the late Raymond and Mary Kovach Savage.
Donald was a 1955 graduate of North Union High School.
He served in The United States Army.
He retired from US Steel at Edgar Thompson Works, The Uniontown Hospital, and finally, retired as a part-time farmer.
He faithfully attended the Masontown Brethren Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son, Daniel; brother, Raymond Savage and wife Shirley; and mother- and father- in-law, Arnold and Nellie Leichliter.
Donald is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Donna L. Leichliter Savage; two children, Donald Gabriel Savage, Jr., Darlene Renee Rohlf and husband Shawn; two brothers-in-law, Arnold Leichliter and wife Anita, James Leichliter and wife Pamela; one sister- in-law, Bettie Rita Crable and husband David. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 14, in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, where visitation continues from 10 until the time of a funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday, August 15, with Mr. Robert Kalp officiating.
Interment will take place in LaFayette Memorial Park
