1 min read

Two Fayette County residents are in jail after allegedly assaulting a person in Uniontown Monday night.

Ryan Miciotto, 34, of Uniontown and Angelina Lawver, 34, of Hopwood, are charged with aggravated assault and a related count of conspiracy, along with similar pairings for simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and disorderly conduct.

According to charging documents, shortly after 6 p.m., Uniontown police arrived at a home on Locust Street as Miciotto and Lawver were assaulting Miciotto’s girlfriend, Lindsay Custer.

Miciotto and Lawver allegedly took turns beating Custer with a tire iron, as well as hitting and kicking her, charging documents stated. Custer received a laceration on her head in the attack, according to the complaint.

Judge Daniel Shimshock denied bail for both on the ground they posed a threat to others. They were lodged in the Fayette County jail.

Both are scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Aug. 11. Miciotto faces an additional charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
