A Connellsville man is in Fayette County jail on charges of attempted homicide after he was accused of driving into a woman during a domestic dispute in Bullskin Township Thursday morning and later backing the vehicle through the front door.

A child was also injured in the dispute, which Tyler Sanders, 19, continued after entering the home, state police said in a release.

Police responded to 579 Kreinbrook Hill Road after receiving a report of a vehicle crash into a home around 11:28 a.m., police said.

The woman and child, along with Sanders, were taken to a local hospital for treatment. The woman, who was not named, was transferred to Ruby Memorial in Morgantown, W.Va. Another adult male was treated at the scene and declined further medical attention.

Sanders is also accused of hitting a dog with the vehicle.

The house was extensively damaged in the crash, police said.

As troopers were investigating, a 39-year-old Connellsville woman entered the secured scene, repeatedly interfered with emergency personnel and ignored multiple commands to leave, according to the release. She was taken into custody, processed and released pending charges. None had been filed as of Friday morning.

Additional charges are being prepared, state police said.

Sanders is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, burglary, aggravated cruelty to animals, criminal mischief, endangering welfare of children, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person and simple assault.

District Judge Ronald Haggerty denied Sanders bail.

Sanders is scheduled for a preliminary hearing July 14.
