Four-year-old boy from Ohio, mother killed in I-70 crash

The Washington County coroner has identified the mother and child who died in Sunday’s head-on collision with a tractor-trailer on Interstate 70.
Killed was 25-year-old Aisha Trawally and 4-year-old Abdul-Salami Touray, both of Columbus, Ohio, according to Coroner Timothy Warco.
State police confirmed Trawally was Touray’s mother.
According to Warco, Touray was not restrained in a car seat. Neither his mother nor the driver was wearing a seatbelt.
The accident occurred shortly after 1 p.m. on Mother’s Day near the Claysville exit of I-70. The vehicle in which Touray and his mother were riding in was headed west when it crossed the median into the eastbound lanes, and struck a tractor-trailer head-on.
The woman was declared dead at the scene while Touray was transported via helicopter to UPMC Washington Hospital, where he was declared dead at 2:04 p.m., according to Warco.
According to Warco, the driver, who has not been identified, was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital with unspecified injuries.
