A Fayette County man is accused of violating his sex offender registration requirements by using undisclosed social media accounts to have communications of a sexual nature with an underage girl.

Patrick Paul Havrilesko, 30, of Allison, was arrested Friday after an investigation by the state police Southwest Computer Crime Unit and the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office in Florida.

The girl’s mother had alerted authorities in Florida after catching her talking over FaceTime with Havrilesko, who had initially portrayed himself as a 16-year-old, according to a criminal complaint.

Havrilesko had initially begun talking to the girl in a Fortnite chat room while playing the game online. At his request, police said, they moved the conversation over to Snapchat, where Havrilesko steered the conversation in a sexual direction and eventually began exchanging nude images with the girl, according to the complaint.

A Florida search warrant found the Snapchat account was linked to a phone number belonging to Havrilesko, police said. That account, along with a Gmail account, two Facebook accounts, TikTok, and several others, had not been disclosed to authorities, the complaint stated.

Friday, a search warrant was served at Havrilesko’s home, where police recovered his electronics.

His Megan’s Law registration only contained one account, a separate Gmail address.

Havrilesko had been required to register as a sex offender in 2015 for a 25-year period after being sentenced for sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl.

Havrilesko is charged with 11 counts of failing to provide accurate registration information, a first-degree felony.

Bail was denied. Havrilesko is lodged in the Fayette County Jail awaiting his preliminary hearing.
