Thomas J. Makcen
Thomas J. Makcen, 79, of Carmichaels, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, after a long battle with cancer.
He was born on May 24, 1944, to the late William and Catherine Makcen.
He served in the U.S. Army.
On June 8, 1968, he married Maxine 鈥淢ickey鈥� Sullenberger who preceded him in death on Saturday, April 22, 2023.
He retired from Bailey Coal Mine and was Catholic by faith. He was a member of the Waynesburg Moose Lodge and enjoyed golfing with his friends and grandsons.
Surviving is a daughter, Lisa Wamsley of Carmichaels; two grandsons, Brandon Wamsley and Jacob Wamsley both of Carmichaels; brother, John (Beverly) Makcen of Willowick, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Helen, Catherine and Sylvia; and brothers, Robert, George and William Jr.
