The Brownsville Area Ministerial Association’s “Food for Falcons” program is collecting Pop-Tarts and ravioli bowls in March and April. There will be a donation area in each participating BAMA church.

There will be a food bank at Pleasant View Presbyterian Church, 533 Royal Road, Smock on Saturday, March 15, at 10 a.m.

On Sunday, March 16 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Allison Christian Church, 452 East Ave., Allison, is holding a youth group meeting. Youth from any denomination are welcome and do not have to be a member of Allison Christian Church to participate. Families/kids of all school ages are welcome. The St. Vincent de Paul-sponsored food bank will be held on Wednesday, March 19 at the parking lot of the St. Mary’s Social Hall, 118 Church St., Brownsville, from 11 a.m. to noon. Families must be registered with Fayette County Community Action Agency in order to receive food.

The food bank at The First Christian Church 512 Second St., Brownsville, is on Saturday, March 22, from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

There will be a blood drive at the First Christian Church of Brownsville, 512 Second St., Brownsville on Tuesday, March 25, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Schedule appointments at www.redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-733-2767.

Ss. Cyril & Methodius Church, 50 N. Morgantown St., Fairchance, will be hosting Lenten Fish Fry Dinners on Fridays during Lent (except Good Friday), from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. They are dine-in or drive-thru. Limited lunch delivery is available by calling 724 564-7436.

On the second and fourth Thursdays of each month at 11 a.m., Abundant Life Church, 1239 Brownfield Road, Uniontown, holds a support group for those who have lost a spouse. All are welcome. For additional information, call 724-425-9700.

Adults 55 and older can take part in free chair yoga classes offered by Amy King Allegra. No prior experience is required, though participants should wear stretchy clothing. Classes are offered the first Wednesday of the month at noon at Connellsville Senior Center, 100 E. Fayette St., Connellsville; second Tuesday of the month at 10:30 a.m. at Senior Life Uniontown, 89 W. Fayette St., Uniontown; and the third Monday of the month at 10:30 a.m. at Bullskin Senior Center, 52 Medsger Road, Connellsville.

On Mondays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., the addiction recovery ministry There is Hope will be held at Malden Christian Fellowship, 343 Old National Pike, Brownsville. Fort Burd United Presbyterian Church, 200 Thornton Road, Brownsville, is holding a weekly prayer group on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. The public is invited.

Malden Christian Fellowship, 343 Old National Pike, Brownsville, is holding a weekly women’s meeting on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Discussion will be about issues like depression, anxiety, grief and eating disorders.
