PVI Corporate Background

PVI Productions began as Presentation Visuals Inc. in 1984 in Woodstock, Georgia. Founder Tom Crawford created PVI to provide presentation design and consulting services for large corporations using the proprietary minicomputer systems of the day. Since those early beginnings, PVI has leveraged the latest technology to convey clients’ message efficiently and persuasively.

By the early '90s PVI had become one of the largest presentation service bureaus in the Southeast. During this period PVI produced thousands of 35mm slides, overhead transparencies and large format poster prints every month. To serve the demands of a nationwide market, we developed an innovative point & click remote access system to allow customers to enter jobs via modem, a radical departure from the text-based BBS systems of that time.

As Internet access became more common in the business world, PVI recognized the opportunity to take the concept proven by our proprietary dial-up system to a wider audience. Unable to find a suitable Web hosting provider, we made the necessary technology investments and became our own ISP. Our service bureau customers began asking us to develop web sites for their own companies after using PVI’s web sites, so many that by 1995 that we began a shift away from traditional media to developing purely electronic business communications.

In 1997, the realignment was completed, and Presentation Visuals, Inc. became PVI Productions, complete with a new corporate identity and decentralized operations. During this time thousands of start-ups sprang up in the web development market, fueled by the venture capital pouring into anything Internet related. Offers for buyouts, questionable joint ventures and speculative projects were proposed to PVI regularly, but all were turned down as not being in the best interest of the loyal clients PVI had partnered with.

Unlike many of our competitors, PVI focused on value and investments that affected our core services. While others built lavish offices, PVI was pioneering the virtual office concept. As our competitors spent massive amounts of venture capital on ego-driven television ads, executive cars and over-built data centers, PVI was constantly looking for new ways to reduce operating costs while increasing the quality of service delivered to our customers.

As a result, when the Dot-Com meltdown of 2001 occurred, PVI was well positioned to ride out the turbulent economic times. Hundreds of our competitors declared bankruptcy, and as a result many unfortunate businesses suffered extended outages of Internet services – but not PVI clients.

Today PVI Productions continues to provide our customers with the same high quality service that the company was founded on more than twenty years ago. We specialize in helping our clients use the latest technology to create a significant return on their marketing investment. Award winning graphic design, personalized customer service and value pricing continue to be the hallmarks of PVI. We currently service more than two hundred domains, providing both technical and creative services for our clients.

Two decades have passed since PVI first opened our doors, but our goal remains the same: to help your business communicate in a professional, cost-effective manner.

Why not give us the opportunity to show you what we can do?
