Monongahela man arrested following multi-county police chase

A Monongahela man is behind bars in Fayette County after an alleged police chase resulted in injuries to two police officers early Saturday morning. Frank Cope Jr., 54, is facing 20 charges including felony aggravated assault, flight to avoid apprehension and criminal mischief following an alleged police chase that began in North Strabane Township in Washington County around 1 a.m. and ended with Cope’s arrest in Fayette County, according to court documents. Cope was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Ronald J. A Dilliner man was arrested on charges of possessing multiple images of child pornography. Police began investigating Johnie Carter, 42, after a Cybertipline report from Google to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children alleged he had saved seven images involving children, according to the criminal complaint. Charging documents stated at least one photo included a child estimated to be as young as 5. Subscriber information linked to the account led police to an address in Dilliner where Carter resided, police said.
