Indianapolis men charged in burglary spree

Three Indianapolis men are accused of conspiring to steal money by breaking into cash machines 27 times across southwestern Pennsylvania over a three-month period. Charges were filed against the three men 鈥 Kavon Carter, 24; Demarkis Bartlett, 28; and Tony Edwards, 22 鈥 in Fayette County Wednesday. Between December 2024 and February 2025, they allegedly committed 27 burglaries across Fayette, Greene, Washington, Allegheny, Erie, Butler and Venango counties. Former SCI-Fayette inmate charged with rape

An inmate formerly held at the state prison in Luzerne Township has been accused of raping another inmate. Court paperwork, filed Monday, alleged William Junior Savage, 49, of Somerset, assaulted the alleged victim in September 2025 at the State Correctional Institution at Fayette. State police said after the man was assaulted, he sought medical attention at the prison. When police spoke to him, the alleged victim told them he was nearing the time when he could be paroled and wanted to stay out of trouble, according to court documents. Fire reported at Uniontown home

Firefighters were called to a home on the 100 block of South Mount Vernon Avenue in Uniontown around 3:38 p.m. Monday, according to Fayette County 911. A dispatcher said there were no injuries reported and all residents were evacuated safely.

Dodgeball event raises more than than $4,200

The Ks Foundation raised more than $4,200 during its Dodge for a Cause dodgeball fundraiser Feb. 22 at the Uniontown YMCA. Ten teams participated in the round-robin event called 鈥淎 Successful Celebration of Community and Kids鈥 Dreams.鈥 The Ks foundation, which began in July 2025, covers registration for youth sports for families that earn $49,000 or less yearly. More fundraising events are planned to support the foundation鈥檚 mission to help every child participate in sports.
